Eilbacher presentings “PLUS (Axis of Distance).” A new piece that utilizes a technique of sound synthesis he has been developing over the past year. An abstract method for aurally describing geometric ellipses yielding. Painting the unplaced room of the listener’s perception within a mass of overtones caught in a confused state somewhere between quivering, humming, and collapsing.

- Backward Singing Performance

First the three performers bow, then they begin to sing, and not until the end does the clapperboard clap.
In Eau Pernice’s performance series entitled Backward Singing Performance, there are elements that initially identify the piece as a concert, but any recognisability vanishes as soon as the three-part composition is sung backwards. The performances are documented on film and later reversed and presented as inversions of the originals:
The clapperboard claps, the performers sing and finally bow.
The words in the backwards composition are thereby turned frontwards in the videos, and the songs become decipherable – and perhaps recognisable, as a pop song or hymn – in the afterlife of the performance. In the gap between the work’s two temporally staggered layers, Eau Pernice’s backwards compositions hold an enigmatic promise of meaning.

- Serge Modular 50th Anniversary Performance

At this year's Struer Tracks, Thomas Ankersmit's performance is a highlight. He's set to play his signature Serge Modular synthesizer, coinciding with the synthesizer's 50th anniversary. The performance takes place within the loudspeaker test room of The Cube, promising a one-of-a-kind auditory experience. Ankersmit's mastery of sound and his instrument's historical significance promise an extraordinary sonic journey for the audience.
