He performs live and in-studio using the Serge Modular synthesizer, collaborating with artists including Phill Niblock and Valerio Tricoli. Ankersmit's music, found on Shelter Press, PAN, and Touch labels, fuses intricate sonic details and raw electric power, delivering a highly physical, spatial sound experience. His work incorporates acoustic phenomena like infrasound and otoacoustic emissions, alongside intentional, creative equipment misusage.
