Special exhibition Sounding City

In the weeks leading up to the biennale students from Aarhus University's summer school visited Struer Tracks. The students from the course Sounding City – Sonic interventions for liveable urban spaces worked with questions about sound, urban spaces and participation.
Over a two-week work stay in Struer, they developed concepts and created prototypes for how sound and listening can be activated in different places in Struer. The result of their work could be experienced in the bridge arch at Lydens Have (behind the town hall).

The course was organized by Marianne Huang and Nanna Hauge Kristensen in collaboration with Struer Tracks and Sound Art Lab. Before the visit to Struer, the students was introduced to theories and analyzes within sound studies, urban studies, design thinking and much more. During the visit, they had the opportunity to follow the work of creating Struer Tracks' exhibition.
